What happens to unused donations?
Donations are not transferable. All donations not used by registered agencies will go to the general fund.
Can a registered agency use donations to buy a body camera from a manufacturer other than WOLFCOM?
Donations can only be used to purchase WOLFCOM body cameras under an exclusive agreement. They cannot be used to purchase cameras from other companies for several reasons. (1) We truly want police officers to have the best and WOLFCOM body cameras are designed and assembled in the USA, and tailor-made for law enforcement. There are many cheap Chinese-made body cameras offered by many other US companies that are poor in quality and design. Almost all of them are not law enforcement grade and don’t last long; contain counterfeit IC component parts that burn out quickly; and some even have Chinese viruses that will find its way into the servers of US government agencies when the cameras are docked or connected to a computer. This is a serious security risk and we fear that many police departments may be compromised when they purchase Chinese cameras. (2) Warranty, service and support. If donations were used for cameras from other companies, there would be no way to know if that company would be able to warrant the product, service it, or remain in business. If that company went out of business, there is no guarantee of continued warranty and support services. (3) Allowing donations to be used with other companies will force a three-way communication between the police department, BodyCameraDonations and the other company, resulting in confusion and additional administration. The solution is to limit donations only to WOLFCOM cameras that will guarantee Police departments receiving quality law enforcement grade body cameras with a one-stop-shop service of sales, support, shipping, warranty support and training.
Is this a grant program?
BodyCameraDonations.com is not a grant program. The purpose of this website is to seek monetary donations from individuals, community organizations, and businesses who choose to contribute towards providing top quality police body cameras to law enforcement agencies that need them. Donations can be made to specific agencies or to the general fund.

Why donate through BodyCameraDonations.com?
BodyCameraDonations.com is a quick and efficient way to donate top quality body cameras to the law enforcement agencies that need them. Not all body cameras are good quality, durable or offer the security features that law enforcement officers need. In the wake of recent news events, many companies have flooded the market with cheaply made overseas manufactured body cameras that break easily, too heavy to wear or confusing to use. Many of these low priced body cameras advertised online are poor in quality and should not be used for law enforcement. Most of these low quality body cameras, many made in China, are not chain-of-evidence secure and the video is often not admissible in court. In addition, there are many rules, laws and body camera policy requirements that body cameras must meet in order to be used by law enforcement. This is why BodyCameraDonations.com offers a top quality body camera, the WOLFCOM Vision, which is made here in the USA by a reputable body camera manufacturer since 2011.
The Vision body camera is lightweight, durable, easy to use and offers the vital features officers need for proper court admissible video evidence management. WOLFCOM is an experienced and reputable body camera manufacturer. They are “the body camera experts” and provide the best quality body cameras on the market today used in hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the country.
