Why has your department decided to start a body camera program?
Constable Smith:  I’m a single part time officer in a rural small town. I want to get both  a body camera and an in car camera but the cost would take up most of my yearly budget.

How do you believe a body camera program will benefit your officers, department and the community?
Constable Smith: I want to get the body cameras for officer safety, to protect the town, and the citizens against any false accusations. I believe using a body camera would help to clarify who did what, one way or the other and I believe it would deter any other potential misconduct from all parties.

Does your department have guidelines for a body camera policy?
Constable Smith: Not at this time, it  would be a standard policy / guideline or recommendations. I do not have an official policy yet. One would be implemented before use of the body cameras.

When would officers be required to record, etc.?
Constable Smith: Traffic stops, when answering complaints or unusual incidents.
